Acute Technological Services, Inc. has immediate opportunities for entry level and experienced welding engineers. The positions offer exciting opportunities to work for a rapidly growing company in one of the most dynamic and demanding industries in the world. Acute provides services to the energy industry for onshore and offshore projects and is a resource for technical innovation to which the energy industry’s engineering groups have turned to design solutions for fabrication challenges.

Candidates should have the following background:

• Familiarity with Carbon and Low Alloy Steels, Stainless Steels, Duplex, Nickel Alloys, Titanium and Aluminum Alloys
• Understanding of Fundamental Welding Metallurgy
• Practical Experience with Welding Processes
• Experience with ASME, API, AWS, NACE, BS and EN Codes, Standards and Specifications
• Experience with Conventional NDE Methods as well as Automated UT and Digital Radiography
• Troubleshooting Weldabilty Problems

Candidates should also have:

• Project Management Experience and Strong Reporting Skills
• Understanding of Offshore Technology including Subsea Production Systems, Deepwater Applications and Heavy Construction
• Team Building Skills and Good Work Ethics

Applicants must hold at least a B.Sc. in Welding Engineering or Welding Engineering Technology. Licensed PE is a plus.

All applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Welding Certification or Associates Degree preferred. CWI is a plus.
